Job Description
We are currently seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Decoration Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the decoration process, from concept development and design to setup and teardown. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision, theme, and preferences, offering creative decoration ideas and solutions to enhance the overall ambiance and guest experience.
- Develop and present decoration proposals, including mood boards, sketches, and samples, to showcase design concepts and inspire client confidence and excitement.
- Source and procure décor elements, including linens, floral arrangements, lighting, props, and signage, to bring design concepts to fruition while adhering to budget constraints.
- Coordinate decoration setup and teardown, including venue visits, floor plans, logistics planning, and supervision of decoration staff and vendors, to ensure seamless execution on the day of the event.
- Oversee the installation and arrangement of decorations, ensuring that all elements are placed accurately, securely, and in alignment with design specifications and client expectations.
- Troubleshoot any decoration-related issues or challenges that may arise during events, addressing them promptly and professionally to minimize disruption and maintain event flow.
- Monitor decoration inventory and supplies, replenishing items as needed and ensuring that all materials are properly stored, maintained, and accounted for between events.
- Collaborate with other event vendors and stakeholders, including venue staff, caterers, and entertainment providers, to coordinate decoration integration and ensure cohesive event design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in event decoration, design, or related role, with a portfolio demonstrating creative flair and attention to detail.
- Strong design sense and proficiency in color theory, spatial arrangement, and aesthetic composition, with the ability to translate client preferences into cohesive and visually appealing décor concepts.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, vendors, and team members and collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor as needed during decoration setup and teardown.
